The Library is currently giving priority to conversion of
records for existing material, rather than detailed cataloguing of new
accessions. See Converting the card
catalogues. In-process material is still retrievable, see the link below.
Complete:
Books, dissertations and undergraduate theses, microfilms etc. catalogued after
1986 (may be published earlier)
Books by all major Swedish and foreign scholars, regardless of date of
publication
(a few may be missing from the really prolific, e.g. Hugo Riemann)
Printed music catalogued after 1986 (may be published earlier)
Offprints from periodicals and collections (there are many such in the card catalogue
up to 1965)
Swedish books and periodicals may be less fully represented than
non-Swedish ones. This does not mean that the library does not hold
them.
The library has an older collection, Acta (Swedish and foreign). It
consists of minor institutional histories, programs, leaflets, etc. arranged by place or
institution. These are fully catalogued in the card catalogue, but very incompletely
represented in the online catalogue.
What cannot be found in the online catalogue?
Ca. 340,000 printed music editions published before 1986 A retrospective conversion of vocal scores and
miniature scores in the online catalogue and Libris is now under way
Manuscripts and most rare prints (music and literature before ca. 1850) Newly catalogued manuscipts can be found in the
online
catalogue (search on Document type: Musikhandskrift), but not
in Libris. There is no retrospective conversion
Articles in Swedish music periodicals and collections or about Swedish
music, published from 1991 on are only found in Libris (Bibliography of Swedish Music
Literature)
